Well...that's what my wife calls it :D. I picked up my new scooter today in Waco, TX. I was able to get a better deal down there than here in the Metroplex. Here are some pics of my new baby...(if I can get it to work that is):

Anyone know the best format for posting pics on here, these load slow :(.

.BMPs are uncompressed Mark, save 'em as JPG or GIF.

A line I use with my wife: "Don't ask if I love you more and I won't have to tell you."

WTG Mark....watch out for the big things with 4 wheels:)

VERY nice! Enjoy!
We want to see you at the next con. Can you strap a monitor on that thing?
-
SOB,
I saved them as JPG also and the file size was the same. I reduced the colors to 256 for the bmp's but the jpg's would have shown more color (24 bit I think). ( I changed them to jpg's and it does make a difference, thanks :) )
Toad,
I might have to go the lap top route if I am going to take it on this :).

You talk like a Harley guy. But, you called it a scooter. Hence, you must be a newbie Hog rider. Hence, this time you will only be fined for calling that machine a (ewwwww) "scooter". If you ever again refer to a harley as such, you will be shot betwen the legs!
:D
Was in Annapolis MD recently at a hotel where a goup of about 10 Road Kings, all black and all anniversary editions, showed up on a road trip. Was an awesome sight!

Old time Harley guys have been callin them scooters for 25 years that I can attest to.;)

weave is correct... "scoot" is the west coast old time expression.
mark... have fun but...please be careful out there... remember the 90 day rule... 90% of rider fatalities happen within 90 days of owning a new scoot. They included borrowing bikes in that statistic I heard.

You're right Laz, but I'm not exactly a newbie rider :). It's just been 23 years since I rode a scooter and this IS the first Harley I ever rode! I still can't beleive I paid as much as I did for a totaly unknown entity. The forward controls are requiring the most getting used to but the scooter is amazingly smooth for a big twin. They have really made a lot of changes since the last time I looked at one.

Nice Ride Mark

Mark... newbie or not... the statistic has to do with an unfamiliar bike not experiance... you shoulda seen me the first time I rode a jockey shift suicide clutch knuck.

:)Me and my brothers first bike lazs. The old man traded a
58 Edsel for it.
Both got ripped off.
We rebuilt it and burned it to the ground first ride.

Im with Lazs.
In the UK the highest fatality rate on bikes seems to be the born again bikers.
That is regular bike riders 20 odd years ago, raised a family and come back to bikes, jump on and basically die.
They do not appreciate the tremendous performance leaps that have occured in that time until its too late.
Oh wait, never mind we are talking about HD's. (cue cute smiley thing)
Insurance companies over here are now refusing to insure anybody without 3 years no claim discount on machines over 900cc last i heard. Although some have broken rank and will accept 2 years.
We recommend anybody who has been away a long time take a refresher training course or an advanced rider training program.
With the huge increase in road traffic over the last 20 years on the UK's roads you need to learn defensive driving which was not much of an issue years ago.
Anyway take care and learn the bikes limits slowly and safely.

Really nice Mark..beautiful bike.
Now get rid of the plexiglass shield thing and it would be "cool".;)

Sweet ride!!

It's a stock seat SirLoin and yes, it is comfy :).
Cav,
I am well aware of that, still nervous in traffic do to some lack of familiarity with the "scooter". I plan on taking the MSF experienced rider course soon. Other than riding it up from Waco on back roads, about 115 miles worth, with my wife running interference for me with my truck, I'm sticking to neighborhood and back road drives for the time being. The freeways scare the crap out me right now. I do realize how much more advanced the new scooters are, my last one was a 1100 Yamaha about '78 vintage.
