Aces High Bulletin Board

Is is okay to keep switching monitor resolutions? For example, I prefer resolutions like 800x600 or 1024x768 for the larger text, and 1280x1024 for graphics, including Aces High and Flight Simulator 2004.
The system switches fine with no apparent problems, but I wonder if this eventually will result in problems such as impaired performance or a shorter monitor life span.
Any thoughts on this?

I use 1280x1024 for everything, including AH but I increase Font size to 110% so I can read the text.

Not much interest in this thread. Guess it's too obvious to most people. Still seems to me it isn't a good idea to do too much monitor resolution switching, but I'll research that more elsewhere.
At any rate, Aces High bulletin board was slow to load and show after I switched to 1280x1024 flying while keeping my overall resolution at 1024x768.
So I switched back to 1024x768 for flying and bulletin board and all is smooth again.
However, I still fly FS2004 in 1280x1024 and naturally enjoy the prettier graphics.
Thanks for your input, Davenrino. I once increased my font size but found it was screwing up scrolling and presentation in some programs. Always a compatibility issue somewhere, I suppose.

Sorry Halo,
Forgot about that. I have One program that I only have to use once a year that won't work with 110%. Of course it also won't work with anything but 1024x768, so I change both for a few hours once a year.
