Title: Microphone problem.
Post by: beet1e on August 04, 2003, 06:38:19 PM
My old headset gave up the ghost, so I bought a new one. Packard Bell. (Not USB - it plugs into the sound card) It's very nice - in AH, the gunfire, engines and explosions sound so real...

... but every silver lining has a cloud. I cannot make myself heard. The mike has a problem. I have been into my Windows (Me) sound settings, and checked that the mike volume is up. Same thing in the AH voice control panel. All looks OK. I can hear myself when speaking into the mike, and the VU bars on the graphic equaliser thing jump up when I do. So the mike seems to work, but for some reason, not for AH. Is there something I have missed?
