Wish we had sounds like these..!

 It might be an arcade game.... and the sounds might be all Hollywood stuff...  but wow, they sure know how to make a promo-movie...!

 Anybody have .50 cal sounds, or damage/bullet ricochet sounds like that??

If you had a program and the know-how, you could rip those .50 cal sounds from the .wmv file and then convert them over to .wav and use them in AH.

Several programs will let you easily convert WMV to wav files. Two examples are:

and
http://www.goldlimit.com/ezc/index.htm


with ezConverter it took me less than a minute to convert that wmv file to wav and now using the standard windows wav recorder (or any other sound editor) I can chop it down to just the sound(s) I want.

Get an audio in/out cable and you can record any sound directly
as it plays on your computer.

You can't make sounds usable in AH from the video.  You need clean sounds.  You'd have no way of cleaning up the backround music and other noises.

Yes you can.  You'd just need a sound editor that would remove the backround sounds.  There's a tutorial on the Day of Defeat sound editing board that tells how to do it but it looked a little too advanced for me to try.

darn shame mitsu stopped doing the sound packs...cause those would be most excellent for it

Roboto's sounds are much better than Mitsus and Burro's aren't bad either.  You just have to rename them to work for AH.

Could you help out here and explain what name gets changed to what? Also where does one find Roboto's sounds?

In the "SOUNDS" area of the BBS, under "Hazed's" post about DVD to wave, I placed a link to some sounds. the M2 and M3 wav files are the sounds you wanted...lol

You'll have to rename them for what ever plane you're using if using mitsu's pack. Also, you might have to increase volume.

AH HA!  They hid the dang thing and the creators site didn't have them anymore as they were aparently included on the WB3 cd.
