The math gets you a multiple of 9 with 81 being the highest possible.

Before you hit the big blue button, check out what symbol is adjacent to 81, 72, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 18....  it will always be the same symbol, but changing each time you push the blue button.

Only the multiples of 9 are important, the rest are just the magician's misdirection ploy.

Nonsense, math shmath.

They make you think a number they chose. Once they accomplish that, it is easy to show the symbol.

I already thought of using math to apply to the 'chance' rule, but the problem is , even if you're right, there is still a chance the button will be wrong. that said, the key word is 'chance', even with present day  math wisords quarrell over what % is actually chance, one thing is for sure, 'chance' is ruled out of a closed system with a 100% result.

We need a programmer to put it on some sorta loop, endlessly running the equation,...maybe we get another Mandelblot(sp?) set. lol

no chance at all, but a dead bang certainty.  Look at the numbers, 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81.

These are the only numbers that will come up following the rules of the game.

lets see pick 25  (25 - 2 - 5 = 18)  okay that was a coincedience try 41.  (41 - 4 - 1 = 36) son of a... okay one more... 54  (54 - 5 - 4 = 45)

Did you guys ever go to a real school, or was it a self-esteem one?


any two digit number XY (in a decimal system) can be expressed as

X*10 + Y

so if they tell you to do a "magic" operation involving subracting the lower digit, you'll wind up with

X*10 + Y - Y = X*10

X is still unknown but it can assume only 10 values (0-9). Just put your magic symbol next to multiples of 9, and reel in the fish.

..and Meitla, some plastic surgeon should apply that rule to your ears, dude, they'll be a multiple of nine smaller.lol.

I kept thinking of beer and it got it wrong every freaking time.

Oh yeah, and when I didn't think of anything at all it kept putting a symbol in the magic ball anyway.

When I thought of nude pictures of various celeberties it also gave me weird symbols.

I want 15 seconds of my life back and 5 dollars for distress.
