Can we have those cool disco lights around the runway like they have in faII?   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Why ?
Did they have those fancy looking lights in WW2 ?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

What would be neat is if we could have some search light for AAA in fields. Looks cool in nights !

Seriously westy, and it's not often that i am. A small dot or cross to show position would force us for the most part to use the gyro compass. Also keep the over size plane from covering cons.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

How about a neat small amber (name escapes me at 5:30am) smoke pots?  They'd use them in black out conditions.

smudge pots I believe, normally used to keep fruit orchards from frosting.

I'm all for that DBCoooper!! Using the "directional" airplane via the clipboard to stear a course, really should go. A dot or an X is what need. Let the pilot figure out what heading via the compass to make.
