The actual balance of brightness, contrast, colour, gamma etc is usually a very personal thing. (often set to over come variances in equipment)
However AH features "night" and whilst many may use utilities or just switch to alternate settings to over come its visual restrictions some consider this gaming but still are unable to see anything to allow even half decent game play.
Is there a way that HTC can communicate the visual effect and depth of vision it considers renders "night" (eg at 05.00 am) such that folk could adjust to obtain the "non gamey" effect HTC strive for.

i think only way that this could be implemented would be to have a colour/gamma setup program in game, similar to games like resident evil, to ensure that black is black and white is white.
Then at least HT could quantify what night is meant to look like, you could then also catagorise people as exploit users or not.
Wouldn't change a thing from the situation we have now though so kinda pointless. :)

I was thinking more of a test card ( a bit like the target) that was brought up at night such that certain bars were only visible when the settings were correct.
You could have a brightness/contrast/colour/gamma card.
