Guys I got infected with worm blaster. Its a virus that keeps shutting down your computer. It comes thru your internet connection not e-mail attachments
. If your using windows XP or 2000nt get patch from Microsoft, com.
If infected go to symantec get removel tool remove then install patch.

i got it too! damn thing only shut down my computer if i was online for longer than a few secs.
This meant downloading the patch etc and updating Norten was a real pain.
The symantec patch does work and it so far totally stable. No probs since i installed the patch
Im using windowsXP pro (no SP1)

Do your windows updates and you will have nothing to fear. Don't do your windows updates and this will not be the only bug to bite you.

You MUST download the Windows Update for this worm. If you don't, your machine will get reinfected over and over again.
The patch for this vulnerability is number 823980 if I remember right. You can also get it off the link on the microsoft home page.
Edit: You can get the patch from this link, since Windows Update is super busy right now.
