Title: Shooting down Tigers with IL-2/Bf-110G2

Have you tried shooting down Tigers by shooting the rear section of that tank? The Russians who flew IL-2s discovered that the rear section of the tank is the weak spot. Most of the fuel and ammo supplies are stored in the rear section, which lacked armor.

i have also tried, and failed, and tried again and failed again, then i tried a lanc, with a 4000lb bomb, and failed once again

Yea, they usually swallow their tongues if you can manage to knock out both tracks.

Why not use P-47s?

The USAAF P-47 pilots claimed they could kill Tigers easily with their .50s by richicheting the bullets off the ground into the belly.;)

So Rutilant, what you are saying here is that we're dealing with Flying Tigers?  Those Germans could engineer ANYTHING!!
