Having a father who is still alive ELEVEN years after a heart transplant,I can empathize.
Best wishes for your father,I hope all goes well.

Hawk, I was walking in your shoes just about one month ago.
Be of good faith; the docs know what they're doing and the technology now is amazing!
Now my Dad is going strong, in rehab, working out and itching to walk farther and work out more on the machines. That's from 5 weeks ago, a time when my whole family experienced the nervousness and fear that your family undoubtedly is experiencing right now.
I'll put out the word to my entire family group. There were plenty of folks praying for my Dad when he went in; we'll be glad to pass it on.
Believe. And try not to worry; it doesn't help him or you. I know that's tough to do, but it's best to try.

Hawklore, no worries. My Father had the same procedure 2 years ago. Its amazing the advances the medical world has made.
He is doing great now, in fact is like a new man .
Best wishes for your Dad, kiddo.
Take care

My mom and grandad had this surgery. For both of them it improved their health a lot, and they had a lot more energy. He'll be all right. :)

Thanks you guys,
Grandparents got here around 1:00pm they said there staying as long as it takes.. I'm guessing as long as he's in the hospital.
-
Keep your chin up laddy.
And maybe a little prayer might be in order?
-
Hawk, expect 5-7 days in the hospital with 4-5 of those in intensive care. That's about how my Dad's just went.
Thinking of you and you're Dad today.

Funk, if you've got that family history, you'd better be watching the kielbasa, chum.
