Title: Hit sprites again

I know its mentioned before............

Any chance of switching  AP (and similar) mg hit  stuff to little bits of black debris and leaving the flashes to the HE shells........... ?

Does anyone have any online footage showing the gun cam from some actual combat footage?  I'd like to see just how exaggerated the hit sprites are.

Apparently pretty exaggerated.  Meh.  The smoke and pieces look cool, but I can live with hit sprites.

I'd like to see this as well. Even a compromise with smaller hit sprites that are not as bright and don't last as long as HE, etc. would be worlds better IMO.

How bout no sprites at'all and just use 3d particle effects and lights or something :D   or maybe that would be too laggy..
