Hi.
Overheard an discussion yesterday in the arena about different airfields in the UK...
Why not model the airfields in AH an bit more induvidially (sp?) like no other airfield look the same as the other...
And make brigdes and stuff to fly under, and an tunnel for trains to run through the mountains, would be great to try to fly an zeeke thru it :)

that depends on the map editor, even in the current version the map editor has full control over airfeild objects.

Cool! Well let the imagination flow guys! :)

i dont remember which map it is but there is one in the CT with bridges

I would like to see some forward grass strips like used on the CT's excellent Fin-Rus terrain.

The current map (France) has bridges. Killed "DoctorYo" by one the other night.

Hey Maniac
That's something I'd definitely like to see, different airfields with proper hangar layour and dispersals.
Here's a modern piccie of Debden, base for P47s in WW2...

Bassingbourn - where Memphis Belle was based in WW2, and where Full Metal Jacket was filmed.

They all look somewhat different don't you think?

Wierd thing is that if Englands patchwork quilt of farm scape was reproduced faithfully everyone would be turning the contrast down on their screens.........
It co incidental that most of the active WWII English airfields are surrounded by small mixed arable rather than the pasture more commonly found in the West Midlands and North.
I think HT espoused the philosophy that too many different fields would be difficult to de bug and would confuse the players............. could be wrong tho.
