i wanted to help this guy and then i read his sig. i know this is an on line community and people lie to try to impress folks, but come on. even in a military run by george dubuya literacy is a requirement for pilots. good luck with acne and 7th grade english bud.

Not sure what to do with the spelling, but I did find these laying around. ( , . ? " : ; ! ' ) I know there are not many there, but at least a few should help out a bit.
If anyone knows where there are more of these funny little marks , please send'em. Quite a few have gone missing lately it seems.

how much ya wanna bet he's been dling from kazaa to... and has a virus... I cant help either until he can speak alittle better here.
for example ..what type of pc do you have ? what operating system, do you have a fire wall , what programs are running in the background ect...
Start with all this then we will try to help.

ACE_KID heres a couple things you can try
Make sure you are using DirectX 8.1 or better.
"taskpnl, Icmon, IPclient, Loadqm, Devldr16", Im pretty sure you can shut these down. You dont need them running in the background, they use up system resources. (although I am not sure about Ipclient, you may want to check into that before you shut it down).
Aces High is a real resource hog, the more free ram you have the better.
I am not real conversant with WinME, I use 98se and always shut everything down, except Explorer and Systray, before I launch AH.
I also shut down my Virus scanner, AH is a pretty secure sight, but that is a personal preference.
Also if you have a firewall, make sure AH is allowed access.
Last but not least, I would seriously consider getting rid of Kazaa.
This program causes nothing but grief and is highly invasive.
Have a surf through the rest of the help and training forums here, there will be much more info than I can give you.

i advise not using kazaa for 24 hours prior to playing AH (be shure that it is not running its share files !!!)
this is because kazaa (along with other share ware programs will have your ip listed for downloads and will keep pinging your pc ,sometimes for several hours after you have shut the program down)
One thing i cant stress enough about kazaa and similar programs.
Any file you download can have a virus hidden in it .exe's mostly,
and alot of the anti virus programs cannot scan for this until the .exe is ran. (kazaa is not very safe at the moment ,not with the record companys paying hacks to upload bogas files and virus's) yes i have a current cd from kazaa dl's that has 5 different virus's hiding in it .
and yes you need DirectX 8.1 or DX9.0b (if your running 9.0a you could have a problem here)
your system should run AH just fine even with the amount of ram it has.(as long as you keep the least amount of programs running in the background) msn messenger wont effect it with 98 or ME.
but you may not want to run it until you get the game working 1st.(if you use this)
with the gf2 video card you may experience lower frame rates while playing the huge maps .(but it wont be unplayable)
if it doesnt run after all this /and you are shure that your system is virus clean... we'll try some other stuff. (we may need to know if your pc can play other games , and what the games are )

do you have any .rbo files in your pc ... (.rbo0 .rbo1 .rbo2)

and you dont want .rbo files ... good how about your version of direct X ??? 9.0 9.0a was buggy on alot of OS's . 8.1 works fine for this game .

Hi,
I just update to the 44.03 version and get about 10fps more. Now max fps is 85 with 1280*1024/16, vsync on.
GeForce2 MX32
ADM XP1800
512M RAM
Win98se

offline doesnt work to well
make sure you have latest drivers and dx 8.1 min...
oh and get some more ram...

ACE_KID...this is extremely important when playing online (if you ever do) run kazaa, then click file, then click DISCONNECT. Otherwise, it will really slow down your computer. Kazaa runs pretty much all the time unless you click disconnect, as a result it eats up memory, and can slow down games and cause problems. Try online too, see if that works...just go to the Combat Theater and will be the same thing as offline:D
