but here is a, so far as I know, a never before told tale by the folks that were there at the time.
Wanna know what Strat Recon was about? Here's a taste of ONE of the missions.
Salute to REG and the rest of those that flew out of Shemya (http://community-2.webtv.net/@HH!B2!E8!1FD8DDA69D60/KingdonAviation/RivetBallAmberShemya/)

Excellent read. If you follow the links around, you'll find many more interesting tales.

Truly, an excellent read.

S-model.. eeek... (memories of long-ass flights)
(flying crew chief)

Yeah, Wulf.. I knew you'd enjoy that.
Did you ever fly with Bob Brown? Jeez, he was simply a hoot. I knew him when he was an L/C and he tried so hard to be all grown up and officer/leaderlike. But the kid kept slipping out on him. :D

I didn't know him but you know.. a lot of the pilots were just
big kids during my tour. The stress of the mission and intensity of it all had to have some outlet.
hell, I won gobs of dough from our pilot during uh...
official card games.. yeah.. :)
thanks for the memories bro!
had to do the V model too.. but the S was sexier
with the black wing and inboard nacelles.
I was on Corbra Ball.
