I remember reading somewhere that HT planned on releasing AH2 in quarter 3 of FY03. Does anybody know if this has changed? If not, how does HTC define its fiscal year? If it lines with the calendar year, then the deadline is only a month away!

I think you should look again... 3rd quarter started in July. Fourth quarter starts in October.

I don't want to sound really stupid or anything, but that's what I understood Preon to be saying...

LOL...re-read the message. You're right. :)

No idea if it's fiscal or calender but my arse is plain getting sore waiting for this movie to start. The management could at least poke thier head out and let us know a bit of what's going. IMO of course....

Most likely calendar year or he would have stated otherwise I think. Of course no one dies if we cross the "deadline" without AH2. :)

To continue your analogy:
The management said the movie would start at 8pm. Why are you standing in line at noon? Go grab a box of popcorn and hit the arcade or something. The movie starts when they said it starts. If it gets delayed, the management will tell you.

FY is Fiscal Year. The beginning of a fiscal year is the anniversary of when a company starts doing business. It can be but not necessarily be the same as a calender year.
For example: If a company begins business in April, it is the second quarter of the calender year but the first quarter of the Fiscal Year.
The IRS will allow companies to change their Fiscal Caleneder to coincide with the calender year if they so desire.
Regardless, it was my impression that HT was talking calender year. So the third quarter would be July 1 to September 30.
So AH2 will be here sometime within the next 38 days.:)
