ROFLMAO. I CANT GET MY LOCKER CODE RIGHT. picked up my books today. and i get locker go to it......... i cant open it and ive got combo. then my dad tries he gets it open and closes it and i try again..... CANT OPEN IT LOL.:rolleyes: so im not going to use my locker i guess and not to mention it is on the very bottom.:mad:

...and your nekkid, everyone is staring/glaring/giggling at you and then the bell rings for class to start and you STILL can't get your locker open while your friend/Dad/class bully can.
It's been over 20 years but I had the same dream you did too!

Well, your Dad will never be able to teach you how to open it. You said yourself you don't like to get help. That if you're doing something wrong you want to figure it out yourself until you get it right. I should read about you in the news a week from now. If you hold true to your word, you'll be found dead in front of your locker right about then.

Just wait until you go off on Christmas vacation for two weeks, then come back and can't remember the numbers at all.

Trying to think back to the haze of 'locker school' (that's Jr. High and/or High school, right?) I'd say you need to start using your head. This is a perfect example of the perfect excuse to spend the entire school day reading (get ready - book titles not adjusted to current standards):
H.P. Lovecraft
J.R.R. Tolkien
Edgar Rice Burroughs (okay the book cover sucked me in I was in Jr. High school - what do you expect?)
ASL rulebook (it paid off in its own way - Cs in English comp. but West Coast champ in ASL for a couple of years = free ASL stuff)
Harry Harrison
Arthur C. Clarke
Joe Haldeman
Ray Bradbury
Robert A. Heinlein
Etc.
I'd actually do this. God knows what they are actually making you kids read today. History books titled along the lines of: 'Sally's Two Moms single handedly save the peace loving peasants of democratic Vietnam from Yankee Air Pirates and the dire threat of a capitalist system and then have a violent threesome with World Hero Jane Fonda afterwards'. Don't laugh, it's probably not far from the truth. Sally's 2nd Mom is probably 1/4 Native American, etc.

Can't speak for other school systems, but the 6th grade English books in my county last year were (for the second semester) Wrinkle in Time and Tuck Everlasting. I'm pretty sure I read WiT when I was in school, around the same age, hadn't ever read Tuck.
Nothing real controversial or anything, both of them were decent books.

You have two options.
1) Always "know" that you can't accomplish something before you try. Give up after the first several attempts because you "knew" you couldn't do it.
2) Know that because it's possible (as many others are able to) that you will succeed as well. Just have to practice and have a positive attitude.
Instead of your dad showing you how it's done, maybe he should allow you to try it so he can coach you as you're doing it. Know that you can and you will (may take a few attempts, but you'll succeed) ;)

ROFL yes i found it even though lady said it was in another building:rolleyes:. never had lockers before.
