I FINALLY got Fester! He has killed me a million times I have been hunting him for months and months, but I finally bagged my "White Whale".
I tried every perk plane in the arsenal and failed, I never would have imagined I would finally achieve my goal in what I did - but I can finally cross someone off my "Must Kill" list :)
I know I was lucky and he will get me a million times more but tonight at least I parked my little 202 a more happy man than normal :)

WTG :D Did you got insulted? Did you had to gang bang him? Did you caught him low with no ammo? Did you vulch him on rwy? Was he in a C47?

I got bounced in the SEA by 2 P47's. I was in a Ki-61. Scrambling, I managed to pop one. After about 45 minutes of flying, I had had enough and started fighting my squadie (he won, warpin bastage). After action report, Lazerus shot down Leviathn:D

A few tours ago we were on mindanao. I was flying from one of those bases bordering the mountains on the northern part of the map. I thought some m3s were inbound so I upped my Il-2 and orbited between town and spawn. Two n00bs upped in a spit and a nik and headed north to the bish base. I saw a dot IB from there but I figured the n00bs could keep it occupied. Then 1 green dot disapearred off dar followed promptly by the second. Crap Im thinking, Im in trouble. Then to the north low 110 coming in fast. I orbit town even though the ack as down. 110 dives in fires rockets and bombs and nails half the town, Since he is directly under me I split-s and engage. 110 is pulling up to me. I get my nose on him first and fire. 23mm dances up and down his fuselage and down he goes. I level. SYSTEM:You shot down Fester. I look and there is a bouncing flashing star. I swear I was invinceble for a week after that.

I remember when I shot down Fester's Me262 in a P-38L and the insults that flew afterwards.

I had just been typing about how not smart it was for us to attack a 13k base from a low one without a lot more help when I hear on squad channel "...Fester just killed me in a 51". I am thinking to myself "Damn and here I am in a stupid 202"
I think nothing more about it then a few minutes later I look over my left wing and see a 51 zooming right underneath me from left to right perpendicular to my flight path. ( I think he was trying to sneak a shot at me while I was on auto pilot) He only has a few thousand feet under him, so I am thinking to myself, maybe just maybe... Hell I was on my 6th beer so I drop on in on him to see what happens. The 51 does a good scissors but I was determined not to let him make me overshoot. Rather than try to saddle up on his 6 at such high speed, I pull up gently up (to save my E) while rolling over him in my up view. I don't think he saw me do that because he continues the scissors, so now I am feeling encouraged - and he is getting slow. I roll over onto his 6 again and he pulls sharply up, I pull less sharply and go for a bit of a snap shot and get some hits. Careful not to pull g's I continue a higher loop and again find myself on his 6 - we are gettign a lot slower now and we are at about 600 yards separation. He is in a gentle dive for the canyon rim I am closing. I know if he makes it clean to the canyon he is goign to get away, I figure those 2 303's I have might be useful for something so I pull off a series of short bursts hopefully plinking him enough to make him manuver. We are right at the canyon rim now and I am too close for him to try for a dive. He does a break turn left back towards the canyon wall and pulls up a bit - then his plane starts doing a wierd gyration thing (sort of spins and tumbles in place for a moment). I pull of a few more hits 303's adding in a my few 50 caliber once i was really close. I loop up and over again as he tries to turn left as hard as he can, now probably thinking about diving for the canyon floor. I get my BB guns on him again, a good canopy shot this time - he loses control and goes boom into the canyon wall. Narrowly squeaking over the canyon rim myself I look at the message buffer and see the kill message.
When you are lucky enough to find a 1v1 the 202 is a really fun plane that opponents underestimate badly. You won't get as many kills, but the kills you get are much more enjoyable. If it turns out you get somebody like fester, hell that's grounds for a new national holiday :)

I augered into a corner of a canyon wall sending checking my 6 with no damage and a 202 was near me.
is this the great 1v1 you were talkign about?

It isn't my fault my guns are weak - but they do add up eventually. A normal pony would have just run away, for engaging that made my night :)

Aye using the warp death reverse quasiensei line eh? I thought killshooter was turned on, and actually thought an enemy had snuck up on us last night. "mental note" Laz as wingman will try and kill you if no other enemy can be found. that was a fun drunken fight in the KI.

Hehehe, I fly FM2 and spit5 some... I die tons, I'm just glad I don't have to see "Steve shot down" every couple of minutes.

LOL I remember a few months ago I shot fester down 3 times in 1 sortie. All a2a. I was in typhoon and fester in F4U?

Sounds to me like he pulled too hard on the evasives and snapped it into the wall. Still, if you enjoyed the encounter, then that's what it's all about.

Kinda like fishing for bream. For such a small fish, they sure put up a big fight, especially if you're fly fishin'.
Lately I've been takin a que from Lazs and fly flyin an FM2. Another ride that's usually smirked at by other pilits...until i shoot 'em down.

i killed 2 262s in one pass with a p47d11, they overestimated their speed and underestimated the jug going 475mph like a frieght train down on them when they just got done zoom climbing. it was quite a toejam storm on ch1 with much gnashing of teeth and acuzations of cheating lol I was laughing all the way back to base.

Never go HO with an Il-2 was what I thought afterwards and that I was glad I had 10,000 more perks to play with.

That was funny stuff. We were all in P-51Bs actually, and Monzuma dove down to engage you. I saw a second Ki-61 dive in after him, and I chased at about 400 yards out without noticing that the plane he was on (namely you) had looped up toward me rather than dragging for the second Ki-61 as I'd expected. I got what must have been a shot from head to tail as I passed obliviously under your nose.
SA breakdowns rule. :)
