these are way cool but way expensive!! some cost $250 PER lens!

Yes yes! Pay hundreds of dollars to risk going blind... Those things are dangerous..

no they are not!!  the only risk is sharing them with other people.  thats the reason most places dont sell them like 1800contacts.com for instance.
