I was in Toy R Us with my son who turns 6 next month about  5 months ago and I saw the Tiger.  Needless to say I picked it up and it is now a rather large static display, they had the Stuka and the 38 there as well.  Very impressive and I highly recommend them to anyone who doesn't have the time to build one.  Waiting fro the 190 to come out, I know the 109 is out but it is an older model that is rather ugly imo.

A 190 ( A4/5/8 ), a Jug ( razorback and bubble ), a Wildcat, a Hellcat, a Spitty, a zero, a 109G..

A reworked 51..

I'd run out of room to hang them. Four hung in the livingroom now..

..with the Tiger ...AND the Huey..

Passed on the Stuka. ( two versions now )

I saw those too. Gorgeous, especially since they have pilots and can be made into nice diorams.

That is ALWAYS fun..

Hehe .. ya dream about this kinda stuff when yer a youngster and G.I. Joe's helicopter looked like a ride at the fair. Then ya hit yer 40s and see this stuff and think "Gee .. to be a kid again!" And then you see a guy in his 40s snag the last plane and you ask ... "That for your kid?" And he says he ain't got no kids. And something clicks and you wrestle him on the floor for it and you both get kicked out of the store for fighting only to see yet another guy in his 40s walk outa the store with it. So you both start a bidding war with him .... then ....

Errr .....

I mean .... cool toys. :D

That F4-U doesn't look like a Korean War variant.

I've had that Corsair for about a year now (got it as a gift). Historically, their were no F4U-1As serving in the fleet by 1950, only F4U-4s and F4U-5s. If they had revised the cowling and added a four-blade prop, they might have been able to pass it off as an F4U-4 despite having the older -1A canopy.

Still a nice model tho. I've been meaning to pull out the airbrush and re-do the markings to that of an F4U-1A circa 1944-45 vintage.

My regards,

Widewing
