Should i go back to win-98 from win XP? My PC is kind of slow for XP and worms (like MSblast) can invade our system.
my PC
*celeron 700
*384mg Ram P-133
*20 gig HD
*ATi radeon 7500 PCI.

Why dont you try to speed up your XP a little? This site has information how to shut down services you dont need: http://www.blkviper.com/

your ram over 128 will be useless. go to win2k. Win98 is nice but its over 5 years old and shows its age very well.

Win98 can read and can use 512MB of RAM, with 3rd party programs such as cacheman (free download), it can read and use up to 768MB of RAM.

There have been worms on the internet????? :o :o :o
The key is not to change until you actually have to change. Win 98 running fine and stable on my five systems at home :)

I know, RPM, that pic doesn't do Win ME justice. However, anything worse would be inappropriate. :)

I cannot see myself changing at this time. I don't need to play games, I simply want to, but if I cannot play for whatever reason, I would have to wait until this machine is too old to keep alive. It's does the minimum I need it to do, run the word processor.

Just take the time to go through the steps needed to protect your system. Will all the freeware/shareware programs you can find a decent firewall easily.
