I have to say after reading all these posts bashing the pizza map I find this map one of the best.  Very easy to look at the map and you can find a fight in no time, either go on the offensive or take action and defend the base.  Spent countless time defending a base and then went on the offensive, at first only 4 guys were attacking the base and then it turned into a mass of knits.  I had a blast last night fighting BGBMAW and others, before that it was dogfyter and the bish.  

SO what it boils down to is I like the pizza map it gives you everything, and battles are easy to find.  Plus I like the high alt bases, I think the AK's did a great job on this map.

Bases are too far apart.  Mustangs are at 20k by the time they get over the base, and you can forget about trying to get an FM2 over a target in this lifetime.

I personally respect the AK's for their effort and appreciate the same....still, the map may or may not be the problem, I'm just not sure.

It could be the mindset of the players, then again it could be a little of both. It's just that fights on this map are not as frequent as I would like....another sidebar is that the alt of the fields makes flying whatever you fly slightly different due to the flight characteristics of the planes at higher alts....not too many fights at sea level.

Yes, you can find a fight....it's just the fights you find are one dimensional...samo samo.

I spoke with Dale and will be submitting a map design for his approval....my son will be crunchin the map with my wise counsel and guidance of course directing his labor.

We'll see if a different approach will get Dales support.

sorry man.....I like green pasture's(its the sheep):D

green and blue are easier on my eyes......

no offense to any AK's...its not the map per say for me.....but the colors are just not right....

yeah, the layout is not the plm with pizza, it's the over all height and color.... something that i wish whoever made it would go back and revise. you'd see a lot of the whines go away.

Despite my other gripes about the map, I like the fact that there are high bases.  It adds a little variety to things, since it gives planes that perform well at altitude a chance to show their stuff.  It also forces me to learn a plane's handling characteristics at a different altitude... I know which planes my 190 can outperform below 10k, above 10k though, I'm not as certain.  

And it gives me an excuse to take a 152 for a spin.  

I wish more maps had high-alt bases.

Problem is Newbies come on hear this map sucks so they join bandwagon. seen many of furballs and many bombers upping to kill strats. Plus the 1 million gvs running like ants all over the place.  Fun map with something for everyone. TY ak's for taking time to build map I would bet 75% or more like map and or really don't care what map is on.  so who cares about a bunch of whinning children, some people would whine about winning 1/2 million dollars. Then again I love shane so what do I know.

Yeah, I like the GV design - the vh base wars can be pretty cool.  I also like the VHs as offensive weapons for base captures.

But the distance between airfields is just too great.

I simply don't play when pizza is up.

Something about it - irritates me.

I just don't like it! It makes me itch.... and my butt breaks out in a rash.

Fortunately, I have a dog who enjoys licking my rashes.

I like pizza... I don't like this map..

And you know I prefer to call it the "Peace Symbol" map, because it looks kind of like that to me.

And I just don't think this game should be about peace... it's about war... and making the other guy go down in flames.

Perhaps we should have a "Moon Crater" map.
All grey... airfields that look like moon bases...
Keep the same flight model

Well, then people will probably ***** about how planes don't fly like that on the moon.

Ok... well.. it would be fun... for awhile.
