Before questioning the FM of any game, it would be a good idea to read and understand the following: http://142.26.194.131/aerodynamics1/
Probably most important is this section: http://142.26.194.131/aerodynamics1/Performance/default.htm

IMHO HT should make this (or something like it) a sticky. Would save a lot of grief and useless posts.

Omg! those are some great sites you got there funk!

read on kids-I spent 4 years studying this crap lol
-
I think you just saved me from buying an expensive textbook, funk. Thanks!

Would you do it again? I'm considering studying this crap when I'm done my 5 years of studying some other crap.

considering I don't have a job...I don't know
Aerodynamics can be enjoyable but Stability and Control is totally boring. Performace calculations are easy.

Hey watch your mouth, HT was a controls guy in a past life.
I also spent way too much time in root locus land. :D
-
Funked, the root locus is used in the arcane science of Contro Systems. Stability and control uses mostly simple math, but has enuff variables to make you go crazy.

LOL!!! Root Locus. There's a term that brings back memories from school.
hehehe, I can still remember filling out the review form for the professor at the end of the semester and typing...
"What the f**** a root locus?" hehehehe :D
Good memories, but Cod I hated controls. Nothing like going thru a 5 page controls problem, get to the end only to find somewhere on page 1 you forgot to carry the 2 someplace :D

Funk, please tell me you actually have almost 10.000 posts!
damn! and Im glad for reaching 2000

You can turn any stability and control problem into a root locus problem if you really want to. :D
