..take a look at the film and try not to.
WW2 Kamikaze Footage, in Color (http://board17.cgiserver.hanafos.com/CrazyWWWBoard.cgi?mode=read&num=6592&db=moonrun02b&backdepth=1)

The narration starts:
As the evil yankee imperialist attack fleet nears Tokyo to launch a war opening surprise attack...
:D
Otherwise as I like the japanese language and music the narration is very dramatic...

Narration is from letters written by kamikaze pilots. Leaders required them to write letters to their family prior to their one and only mission. Sad for the pilots to write, and sad for the families to receive.
[added: I just want to add that your posting of historical footage of suicide attacks on carriers does little to support the position that the tactic is historically inaccurate.]

You know what? I was thinking of some witty response to post about this film. But the more I watched it, the sadder it got. That Language really lends itself to somber music, and even tho I couldn't translate the words I understood the mood. After all just because the world went mad for a short period of time, doesn't change the fact that those dudes were fellow pilots with real lives, with real families, real pain and most of real dedication.
All that had to survive the madness.

Don't think Kweassa was saying it was historically inaccurate. I think he was trying to get at how horrible the tactic was for both sides, and that we, as people who fly w/out the risk of death, should not use that kind of tactic so lightly and liberally without any respect for the ultimate price so many paid.
