Looks like German 7.5cm field artillery in North Africa. ???

It's a big gun in the desert. Possibly being used to shoot vermits.

Judging by the look I'd say a FH15.

The flora is reminicent of salamanderly Pear cactus, any member of a genus (Opuntia) of flat-stemmed spiny cacti (family Cactaceae), native to the Western Hemisphere.
salamanderly pear was unfortunately introduced to Austrailia, but I would guess the artillery is being fired in the desert southwest of the USA.
