Been dying to watch Rambo on TV again. First Blood was a good movie and I havent seen it in so long it would be like watching it for the first time again. Why dont they show the good stuff on TV instead of the retarded ***** they always show.
Think I'll have to go rent it for tonight.
:D

I watched the first two Terminator movies this weekend. Unreal to see the technology advancement over the span of 2 movies.

I was going to rent A Fish Called Wanda this weekend, but then I saw it at CompUSA for $9.99. I thought why pay $3 or $4 to rent it when I can just buy it for $9?

The Sand Pebbles (1966) - Steve McQueen
Anytime you think you've got it tough, watch it and realize how good you have it. :)

It's funny how when I compare some of the old movies mentioned above to what's on at the local movie complex the old movies win hands down..
-
I need to get a WW2 DVD collection going.
My wish list, in order is as follows:
1. Battle of Britain.
2. Stalingrad
3. Cross of Iron
4. Midway
5. Tora Tora Tora
6. A Bridge Too Far
7. The Longest Day
8. Enemy at the Gates
-
I really want to see Evil Dead 0. Or "out of the woods" or whatever it is called.
Just a crappy 30 minute "pilot" for the evil dead series. Has Bruce Campbell in it and everything. No idea where to find it though.

Consider the current run of movies as a percentage of movies made in history, and it's not funny, it's to be expected.
Although while I liked First Blood, I really didn't care for Rambo. And in my opinion, it didn't hold up well against the test of time. I only saw two movies this summer, and thought they were both better than that one.

Two movies I really want to see are X-Men II and Daredevil. Unfortunately, football season is starting, beach volleyball season is reaching its dramatic climax, indoor volleyball season is starting, and running training starts next week (for the Walt Disney World Around The World 10k which I keep missing each year  ) so my free time is getting pretty scarce.
Saw bits and pieces of Midway over the weekend on a cable tv channel while I was playing Aces High, which was nice. Tora Tora Tora would've been better, though.

seen the evil ded at blockbuster for 10 bucks... think I'll buy it.
curval... I have most of those movies... just got a bridge too far... it is very good on DVD.. better than I remember. ordered cross of iron used from Amazon

"Main teem top wowlve!" -The Sand Pebbles
Patton really wowed me when I saw it on DVD. Seen that movie dozens of times in pan and scan. When I saw it in Letterbox glory, it was a whole new movie. If you haven't seen it in Letterbox, you haven't seen it.

"The Great Race"
With Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon.

Is this "The Sandlot"... kids playing baseball in a sandlot?
As for movies I want to watch... there's just too many to list. I'm eagerly awaiting "3 O'Clock High" which will be released next month. I'm also looking forward to watching X-Men 2 again. But if it comes to movies I really really want to watch... there's only one: "Return of the King."

OK.. Mr. Anal-movie-title-nazi.
"The Sandlot" - I love the pool sequence, classic.
-
Just wondering if it was the same movie. I loved it because it reminded me of my neighborhood growing up. We used to play ball in Wanda Proudfoot's back lot. The fences, the dogs, the characters... everything reminded me of it. We even had one of the kids make it to the majors and play in an all-star game.

Are you a programmer? Just curious:)
Movie I want to see next "Matchstick Men"
-
Lazs & Loser, check out Dead Alive if you haven't seen it.
Also I think the Evil Dead short might be on one of the special edition DVD's for the full movie.
I prefer Evil Dead 2 anyways. :)
-
The Thief starring James Caan and The Anderson Tapes starring Shaun Connery
-
Heh SOB. They are so bad, they are good. :D
Besides, it's just nostalgia - watched them as a kid and thought they were great. I like the old 'lots of big stars in comedy race' plotline. ;)
