I've been looking at it too Funked, pretty neat.  (220W power supply is a bit small though...)

PS is plenty because you can only fit one HDD and one CDROM, and I think most people are using motherboards with integrated video and lan.  So it's just the mobo and two drives.  I've read of people running up to Athlon XP 2500+ with no problems.  Mine is running great with a 2200.  

Only problem I'm having is keeping the HDD cool because there is not much air moving in the front of the case.  Probably going to put a 5400 rpm TiVo drive in there to keep things cool and quiet.

Also it will only take "low profile" PCI and AGP cards.  But I'm using Asus "VM" boards (integrated GeForce video, 5.1 sound, and LAN) so it's a non-issue.

Don't use small cases but for the tower folks I think that this is a great set of cases.

I like the small footprint.  would the radeon 9700 pro qualify as low profile?  I would think you couldn't do much passive cooling in there and would need small high speed fans... how's the noise level?

Sancho I think with a 9700 or other gaming video card you would have to add some cooling, which might be a pain in the butt.  

It's pretty much designed for integrated motherboards.  The standard I/O shield plate is an exact fit for the Asus VM boards.

There are some low profile video cards out there but I don't know if there are any 9700s.  You not only need the card to be short but you also need the correct (shorter) bracket.

Been seeing a few almost cube like cases lately.

DUnno what mobo they must be using because there's no way you would get an ATX board in em.

I just want to follow up on this thing.  The Minuet + Asus A7N266-VM + Athlon XP 2200+ combo has been absolutely bulletproof.  No problems whatsoever.  It stays cool, looks great, and uses up only about a 4"x18" footprint.

I really liked that Asus A7N266-VM board.  I probably built at least 10 systems using it.  (1 running Redhat 8, a ton running Windows 2000, one running 98SE, and two running XP.)  For about $75 it was an extremely good deal for all that you get. (onboard Geforce 2 MX graphics, onboard NIC, and onboard hardware accelerated sound with SPDIF output).  Unfortunately, Asus seems to have discontinued it and replaced it with the A7N8X-VM, which is a nice board with GeForce 4 MX onboard graphics, but only Realtek AC97 sound and no gameport.  It also costs about $40 more.

Yeah it should go in the mobo hall of fame.  They are still for sale at Mwave and Newegg, under $60 now.
I use one for a home theater PC and general non-gaming purposes, and I built one for each of my sisters.  I'm probably going to build one or two more for other friends and family.  I've never had less trouble with a mobo, and the features rock.
I'm sure the A7N8X-VM prices will drop once the last of the A7N266-VM's are gone.
