The 1st car thread reminded me of this...
We were a VERY small school in NW Texas and had a fierce rivalry with 2 schools in our County. A Group of us decided that it was our mission to sabatage our rivals by torching their Homecoming Bonfires prematurely. The 1st one was a perfect military maneuver that caught the enemy off guard and burned to the ground. Our 2nd mission was not to be as smooth an operation. Word had spread of our previous strike and defenses were in place. We entered the enemy camp (the football practice field parking lot) in my 68 Ford pickup without incident only to notice they blocked the exit after we drove in. AMBUSH! We went into strike mode and launched our Malatov Cocktails with 2 direct hits on the wooden Bonfire stack. An automotive furball ensued with us desperately looking for an exit. I noticed a small gap between 2 buildings and went for broke! We squeezed between the buildings at full speed with enemy in tow and busted thru the front fence. The chase was now us RTB with 30 miles to Home and 15-20 enemy hot on our 6. Fate was on our side that night, I had about 50 6 foot steel fencing T-posts in the bed of my truck and my comrades began throwing them out the back. It was like a Niki on a B-17 at 100 ft! The cars behind us were hit directly in the radiator and out of the chase! (It was a miracle none of them were killed by a post going thru the windshield!) We safely RTB'ed and the following Monday were informed that ALL bonfires in the County had been cancelled for the remainder of the school year... but they never found out WHO made the raid! :D

One time, during a basketball game, we made fun of one of the opposing players.

Ahhh, RPM, nothing like Texas High School...makes me want to put on Dazed and Confused. No truer movie about my childhood was ever made.

Damn...so if they caught you guys would there have been any gun-play?
-
Not back then, it would have been a good ole can of Texas-sized whoop-ass. Guns were unheard of on teens until the black urban hip-hop influence set in in the early '90s.
