Title: Recent power cuts, coincidence or.....?

So, there I was wondering if I would ever be able to programme the tv/video/cable combo again with only a few novelty candles to keep away the dark when I began thinking about coincidences. Is it merely a coincidence that the UK/US and CAN have suffered some major power cuts in the last couple of weeks? Is the old adage ‘there’s no such thing as coincidence’ true and there are foul deeds going on or can it all be explained away without any rampant paranoia?

Personally I think it’s coincidence, but I’m open to suggestions.

was 25 minutes in Wimbledon...how long were you out for?

Not 100% sure, it was off when I got home in sunny Peckham at about 6.30 ish and came back on around 7. Pretty lucky really as I must have been on one of the last trains from London Bridge. If I'd used the Bakerloo line I'd probably be still down there.

Over here they were maintenancing some generator and when they put it online, the systems were too late to stop the shortcut and the area of Helsinki and bit more blacked out from 10 minutes to an hour.

I were without electricity for about 20 minutes.. thats the longest blackout in my life :>

Obviously it's just the irony of murphy's.

Well Dowding, all I can say is if my fondue set was electric there would have been some serious consequences. As it was my white wine spritzer wasn’t as chilled as I’ve come to expect. The horror.

So even with the New York/London/Helsinki evidence, there are no tinfoil hat wearing survivalist types who think this is just a little strange? Damn I thought this board was more rabid than that ;)

Fishu, does that include alcohol induced?
