Title: .GIF animations in IE6, SP1 not working
Post by: beet1e on August 31, 2003, 06:54:26 AM
My OS and IE are pretty up to date. W2000 Pro with SP4, and IE6 with SP1 installed. But .GIF animations on web pages have stopped working. I miss that rolleyes!

But on my W-Me system (IE5.5 I think) the animations work perfectly.

Was one of the recent IE fixes responsible for disabling .GIF animation? In Options, I have "play animations" enabled.

have you tried restoring defaults under advanced...

then take a look at your cookie/security settings...the smilies are unsecure while the rest of the AH boards are secure so if you have your settings messed up that can cause it

Can you be more specific? I can't find anything that looks as if it could be causing the problem.

It was Zone Alarm Pro - the default privacy setting was to disallow animations. I unchecked the box and saved the settings. Actually it was Tomato who found out what was causing it. :)
