The Stones are cool I guess, but AC/DC AND RUSH?! Man, throw in Ted Nugent, this would dwarf Woodstock!

Just videos, and I prefer live concerts, but as a whole, it is good.

"The Enemy Within" and "Afterimage" are included which is rare and cool, and lotsa older stuff. "The Trees" and "Limelight" are great, "Subdivisions" too as far as plain videos go.

"Red Barchetta" is off the first live video, actually the first VHS tape I ever bought, "Exit Stage Left", so long ago we went to a rich kids house to watch it as we didn't have a VHS player, his grandma did.

Most the rest is common video's, but yeah, get it.

Oh man, during their heyday Rush was pretty much untouchable. Have to say that I lost interest after Hold Your Fire and haven't really gotten back into them. Time do dust off the old LP's and give em a spin!

The thing is I dont have 5.1 and was kind of put off by the vocal mix. The vocal track seemed buried in the mix. Hows Geddys vocals in 5.1 ?

Peart is a frigging purscussion storm. I mean...holy cow. Its a Cray computer disguised as a human being :D

Alex is definately packing on the weight but he is still filling in the music with some awesome guitar work.

I love the way they construct music and the lyrics are wonderful

I noticed that after the song Ghost Rider was finished, Peart immediately snapped both drumsticks in two and tossed them to stage left. I wonder if they were damaged or broken or if that particular song motivated him to do that for some other reason?

Post by: Creamo on October 26, 2003, 05:19:59 AM: I finally watched his new drum solo. Disk two and going through my fav songs took up the first look. It started pretty disappointing then just got insane. He's a bot.

Cygnus X-1 should have been played complete, and Earthshine was very refreshing live.

The crowd jumping to YYZ was amazing, and when they were doing the arms in the air "we are not worthy" during Freewill I couldn't believe it. Brazilians are nuts. I dug it.

That Rush in Rio dvd is the sheit. Friggin Rocks! Chill bumps watchin all them Brazilians SING YYZ! Reminded me of a Cure concert in SD, A Forest. Friggin audience was louder than the band.

That multi angle thing was quit cool also. Never seen it before.

btw, how do ya get the bonus stuff to run? Says enter a code, something on the jacket or 2112? Couldn't get it to work. Also, never was prompted to hit enter for the Bytor movie thing...do ya need to run it on a computer? I'm a dolt i guess.

Makes the many Rush concerts I've been too, in reflection, kinda dissapointing. And the YYZ sing-along got me too. The crowd was a moving mass of energy.

Alex is a pilot. I found a good read where he flew for fun out of Dubuque, Iowa in 1980, the Moving Pictures Concert I saw. That's where I fly into on American Eagle everytime I go home. Was cool to read it as it's close to home.

Anyway, ya, I get the YYZ triangle intro. Cool stuff.

When I first started listening to Rush I thought she was cool because she had one of their albums. Then I realized that Hemispheres was the only album of theirs that she owned and she obviously bought it for the cover. :rolleyes:
