What would the name of the plane's MANUFACTURER be if i say:

"finding roaches in my pot"

I guess it depends on your disposition towards roaches, but my guess is 'Douglas'.

D'oh!

Not even on same map.  I read that as interpret the phrase and find the plane with the closest name that resembles the quote, then list the manufacturer of that plane.

to me is pretty close to "Grasshopper" , commonly known as L-3, which is a liaison aircraft used by the Americans in WW2.

Didn't even occur to me to be actually looking for a song.

Can I get an honorable mention?  :D

yay! what do i win?

I thought you were looking for a plane too.  The song i found i couldn't think of any manufacturer's or aircraft that could be related to it.  So i posted the song title here incase anyone else could.

I now realise the answer you were looking for is 'Sublime'
