Title: what are your favorite planes?

divided into 3 catagories.
1:favorite nonperked fighter.
2:favorite perked fighter.
3:favorite bomb.

mine are
1:Bf109G10 and BF109F4.(i up 109f4 if the furball is within a sector of the base so i will usually get vulched in it)

2: Spit14 and Me262A1

3:B17's

me163 - unless someone is threatening the HQ
B17 - or there's a buff mission, because 10 B17 groups is too cool not to join in

1.  Any 190 series (except F8).  A5 seems to be back on top this month.  Last month was A8.

Ground Attack= IL2
Perk= Usualy dont fly one but when I do its the Chog
Bomber= B26
Fighter Bomber= P51D/B

Almost never fly perks.

I don't have any favorites, I fly everything. Basically, whatever suits my fancy at the time, or what's best suited for the need of the moment.

More often than not, I fly sorties designated as attack and do so because I almost always take off with some form of underwing ordnance.

Last tour I flew the F6F-5, La-5 and P-51B more than any other types. This tour Lavochkins and F4Us are the monthly squad rides for squad nights. Like  Grunherz, I like flying the SBD as a fighter too (athough only one sortie with it so far this tour). I'll use the A-20G the same way once in a while (I did tonight).

I never fly perk planes because the risk of disco is too great.

I never fly Spit IX, LA7, N1k2, P51D because everybody else does.

Lately I've been doing the 109F and 109G10 and basically just flying at disadvantages because anything less just isn't much of a challenge anymore.

Try doing an airfield assault in an M16 sometime, or upping a Panzer at a camped spawn and playing "quick on the draw" for some arcade fun.  Of course, don't expect a positive k/d ratio, but hey, there's no long climb-outs.

Until we get more than 2 tanks, the GVs will just be a sideshow for me - "Hmmm. Panzer or Tiger.  I chose Panzer.  I've already lost 5 Tigers this tour to downhill racing rollovers :D and disco's :( ".

Perk rides aren't worth the aggravation of the lost UDP syndrome.  Flying the perk planes means that I actually want to try to win a fight, so when I get disco'd it is two losses: (a) lost perk points and (b) lost enthusiasm.

So, I cut my losses by not flying the perk planes.  It isn't worth the trouble.
