The past two days I saw, for two times, very curious way to destroy CVs. Buff formation flying perpendiculary to the CV, dropping lots of bombs, missing all of them (hitting at water, clearly well behind CV) and poof CV destroyed.

self propelled magnetic bombs?
-
lag?

Blast radius.
The bombs detonate when the hit the water. I'm not sure, but I don't think most WWII bombs did this.

Yeah, not a technician, but I think the bombs were fused to go off
a above the ground. Other wise the earth would bury themselves in the ground and just go pfffft.
But bombing film clips sure look like they hit the ground.

Ive seen this quite a few times too... but what i have come to figure is that there are too many people playing, so there is lag, and with the lag everybody sees the screen a little different, so you could have seen the bombs miss, but the person who dropped them could seen the carrier in a different spot, so they saw a direct hit while you saw a miss.
