The 339th is currently looking to fill some more roster spots. We are looking for both Jabo and Fighter pilots too fly two squad nights a week. Our formal night is Friday nights for the squad ops series in the SEA and our informal night is Sunday nights in t he MA.
We only have a few requirments that we like everyone to meet before they are considered for membership.
#1. Must be 18
#2. Must be a teamplayer. On nonsquad nights do what ever you want. But on squadnights we want everybody that is on to take part in the mission.
#3. No boneheads
Of the fifteen fighter groups flying for the 8th Air Force at the end of World War II, the 339th was the fourteenth assigned. Some of the other fighter groups began operations as early as 1942 and 1943, therefore had more time to run up their totals of enemy aircraft destroyed. But based on the rate of enemy aircraft destroyed per unit of time in operational combat service. The 339th ranks seventh out fifteen for enemy aircraft destroyed in the air, and first for enemy aircraft destroyed on the ground.
We are proud of that tradition, and do our best to live up to our virutal name in AH.

That should make the 339th among the best vulchers in the game

That was a historical note on the real 339th's war records. Not the "virtual 339th's" practice (vulching that is):D
