Just got me license and I'm piss'n on every tree I see!
Oh how it must suck to be a mire mortal. :p
Seriously.. if your thinking about it.. DO IT. Beg, borrow or steal if you have to. You won't be sorry.

Congrats! May the wind always be in your face! :)
-
Congratulations!
Only 6 hours here - seems like it's going to take forever.

Words of Wisdom
My first flight instructor told me on my first flight to remember:
"It is always better to be on the ground and wish you were flying than to be flying and wish you were on the ground"
Be prepared and always remember in an emergency never quit flying the aircraft. Only had a couple of inflight emergencies nothing major. But I have had several instances while driving a car that I was able to drive my way out of of several accidents.
Congrats welcome to the club.
Good Luck and when in doubt stay on the ground.

WTG Virage
Don't think the learning is over just yet. :)
-
hehe Gixer, I'm with ya!
Been a commercial helicopter pilot for 10 years....still learning how to fly the damn things. Oh well, at least I only ever scare myself now.
Clocked a Mallard duck at 60 mph last spring. Who knew a duck was so fast?
So true..."Flying is mans second greatest thrill.....Landing is the first."
If the wing dont swing, it ain't a wing.
cheers,
RTR (kick'n the skid and spinning the lid)
(oh and....a) I have no money..b) was an aircraft mechanic in the military)

WTFG!

I've had my pilot's license for 18 years now. Best money I ever spent, and best money I ever will.
WTFG! Stay safe and congrats!
-
Congratulations Virage!
While I don't have a licence just yet, I work on both helo's and fixed wing, have to say the helos are much more FUN.
Like my favorite pilot always says "You can land anywhere once."
He is a Ret Lt Col cobra/apache pilot. (makes for some fun rides)

Thnx all!
And advice is taken to heart. I know I'm a very small fish in a very big pool with alot to learn still.
But this morning, I did indulge in watching another pilot takeoff and wobble into the pattern. All the while coaxing him what to do under my breath! Felt like a real old salt. lol. It is funny how pilots watch take offs and landings out of the corner of thier eyes!
