got a faster mirror? Would love to see it... it's not that silly drawn out movie that shows a boat sailing around for 5 minutes is it?

I didn't have a problem, about 15 minutes on cable and well worth it.

If you ever want to describe boxed sims with 32 or less players online to someone wanting a WWII game, there ya go.

More good IL2FB news.

Hi folks,

I spoke with Oleg today (12 Sept 03) and I got the latest content regrading the free download. Please note that ALL of these items are subject to change. These are not promises.

Flyable Aircraft:
1. P-51D with collimator gunsight
2. A6M5 (included in Japanese FB version as well)
3. Ki-84-1a (included in Japanese FB version as well)

AI Aircraft:
1. B-17G

Maps:
1. Ardennes
2. Normandy
3. A new, small online map

Many new ground objects including powerlines, fortifications, castles (to be used for third party mission construction).

There is also the chance for the FW-200 to be included as an AI aircraft.

Oleg hopes to have this available sometime in October, but this of course can change.

Also, on 05 Oct at the European Flight Sim show, we plan to jointly annouce the next step in the Il-2 line.

Another, shorter one (140mb) from the same people.

It's just amazing what people can do with a given engine, which makes it all the more gut-wrenchingly envious. It may not look that spiffy, but I'm sure AH can make some pretty excellent movies.. if only there was someone who knows how to direct and organize people... !
