HT:
One of the strange things about it is, the more accurate we make [the damage model], a lot of people complain about it more. They expect that every time they hit a tank with a shell that it's going to do the same damage. Well, it becomes so much dependent on where you hit it, what angle you it at, and all those different factors, that a lot of times people think there're bugs when there's not.

The last big wave of complaints were the hole in the armor (bug that is fixed now) and the dancing tiger when losing tracks (bug that is not yet fixed, or maybe it is?).
-
No the dancing Tiger is not fixed, suffered it 2 days ago lost both tracks and the damn thing was dancing so bad i had to bail, its impossible to do any gunning once its dancing.

The problem with the GV armor model seems to be that it is so much more complex than the overly simplified(in comparison) aircraft damage model.
-
Could be.
It's also because the 'representation' of damage is too simple, compared to the process of taking damage that happens within the game.
Like, for instance, in R/L, when you fire your main guns against another enemy tank, you'll see where it hits and how it hits..see and observe if the shell impacted right or not. When you're in a tank, when you get hit by a shell you'll able to feel how it hit and how it damaged your mount(and then probably die...). However in a game, it's portrayed with a hit sprite, smoke, and a simple damage list - so what actually happened with the complex calculation, is not accurately represented to the players eyes.. in the end, they begin to think something is wrong.

It's not limited to GVs. If memory serves well I've seen 88 mm HE rounds bounce of aircraft...

So the last time I was in a Tiger, and I blasted a Panzer with five AP shots in the side at close range, only to get his attention. He swivels and blows me up with one shot.
Ooh, my error in thinking something is wrong with that. :D
Nah, I just stay away from gv vs gv engagements. Way to frustrating for the time being.:p

someone i know was zapped in his tiger by an lvt.
