For those that live in the Seattle area(or don't mind a trip), we are having an aces seminar on October 18th(Saturday) at the Museum of Flight. You can attend the seminar with museum admission, but cannot attend the signing afterwards unless you are a museum member or a member of the Friends of the Aces(you can join both that day).
We will have two Navy and one Marine ace from WWII talking about their experiences in combat. It's a great opportunity to hear real stories about what we do in the virtual world. I've been to a few and they're great to attend.
Shoot me an email at woneal@museumofflight.org if you want more info.

That's too bad, but for those that aren't going to the mini-con, the real fighter pilots will be in Seattle that weekend.

Good luck. Shame about the timing.

That's ok beetle. On June 6, 2004 we're having the opening of our new fighter wing. It's the old Champlin collection and the American Fighter Aces and the Flying Tigers will be have their reunions at the museum that weekend. It should be quite the "to-do".

Can you give me some info on the later trip?

Here's the skinny on the AFAA and Flying Tigers reunion at the Museum of Flight in Seattle the weekend of June 6, 2004. The MOF is having its grand opening of the new fighter wing and the American Fighter Aces and Flying Tigers will be having their respective reunions probably starting Thursday the 3rd of June.
If you are a member of the Friends of the Aces, you will be able to buy a dinner/hospitality room package and hang out with the aces. For information on joining the Friends of the Aces, please contact Cheryl Dart at cdart@museumofflight.org. If you do not belong the the Friends or buy the package, you will not be able to attend the functions particular to the Aces. These packages usually include two dinners, a breakfast, admission to the Aces hospitality room and admission to the autograph session.
I've been to two Aces reunions and they are truly a lot of fun. You get to talk to the aces and hear their stories about combat and everything. With the addition of the Flying Tigers to the opening, it's going to be quite the event.
If you want any additional information, you can contact me at woneal@museumofflight.org
