GIMME GIMME GIMME NOW NOW NOW!!!!!!

If Hitech rushed out sub-par games Microsoft would have to sue for trademark infringement. -- It's worth the wait, it's an indicator that a team of profesionals are working on a project which they care much more about than getting product out for a quick sale.
Most traditional software publishers can buy a lot of hype for thier software releases, once the selling company makes it's profits from the initial flow of sheeple then they can happily orphan the software for a new more expensive version, abondon the project or sell it off to someone else. They have made their money from it and now they don't care.
However hitech depends on a monthly subscription. He has to KEEP ppl happy with the game in order to maintain his income.
It's a difficult balancing act that I am sure poses no small amount of stress when suggesting or implementing great changes in a formula that works. So far all he would have to do is provide new maps and planes to keep ppl. The steps Hitech is going to enhance the gaming experience is monumental.
Give them a break, I am sure the release will be (Pardon the pun) Historic.

i want it when its damn good and ready...
and if it gets delayed it will be for a damn good reason...i dont think anygame has come out on time EVER
would you want your baby born 2 months early??? i thought not
this game is hitechs baby...keep that in mind when you call it ugly...

i was thinking about that, all the people whining and complaining, someone should make a thank you somethin for the HTC crew, they work hard to make all of this stuff for us, i mean i know they get paid for it but still! :)

A couple of games I've worked on went to gold early, so it does happen occasionally.

You show the classic signs of not having enough ketchup in your diet.

Pyro: These are the good years for me and hitech. The Skuzzy got accepted into a nice boarding school in Venezuela. The dog got his degree from obedience school, awarded posthumously. And that funny smell wasn't from either one of us, it was a dead squirrel in the furnace.
We should have been happy, and yet, the other night I came to work and found hitech staring out the lunch room window. Hitech, Is something wrong?
Hitech: Pyro - I don't think I'll ever be a microsoft engineer.
Pyro: Oh?
Hitech: I've been turned down by the Famous Software Designers School.
Pyro: The one that advertises on the back of matchbooks? With a picture of a bug that says "Design Me"?
Hitech: That's the one. I sent in my application and they sent back a note that said my ideas were puerile and jejune.
Pyro: Oh Hitech -
Hitech: They suggested I apply to their Famous Carpet Layer's School instead.
Pyro: Oh dear ...
Hitech: I worked so hard over that program. The smoke trail, the damage model, the tanks and artillery shells, the souvenir pillows from Hawaii ...
Pyro: You're a real human being, Hitech. Not many real humans do well at microsft. They're just not compatible.
Hitech: And then just last month I was turned down for the 2gb memory hogging applications from texas contest -
Pyro: Oh, what do they know? Really. What did you send in on the audition CD?
Hitech: A five-minute talk about the importance of a well designed flight sim, Pyro. It was my best work. People on the BBS heard it and wept.
Pyro: You know what you need, Hitech?
Hitech: Yes. A break.
Pyro: No, you need ketchup. Ketchup has natural mellowing agents that help dull the pain of unrealized dreams. C'mon, let's go to the kitchen and I'll fix you some toast. With ketchup.
Hitech: I feel better already.
muzak:
The sounds of morning, the ocean at sunrise
The seagulls circling in the pink blue skies
The tide is flowing like ketchup on french fries.
Ketchup ... ketchup.

LOL that was great ergRTC!!!!

or even better...
Lazs: Shane and I know that wealth is not measured in monetary terms, but in friendships. So last week, when we started a big thread on the BBS, I felt like the richest man alive. Until everybody started leaving after nine replies. And we were left alone, with about $ 600 worth of party snacks.
(NIGHT AMBIENCE, CRICKETS)
Shane: What's wrong, Lazs? It's midnight and you're sitting buck-naked in the middle of the backyard surrounded by loaded weapons?
Lazs: I'm deeply depressed, shane.
Shane: It's the BBS, isn't it----
Lazs: I don't think our friends really like us, Shane. How could they not realize the trouble we went to----? The hand-rolled sarcasm....the gourmet leg humping, the seven kinds of whine including "play my way or else" and smoked "spitdweebs" and cilantro-onion-La7 and p51 flambee'.
Shane: Maybe we were trying too hard to impress everyone.
Lazs: You think so?
Shane: Maybe we forgot about the basics, Lazs.
Lazs: You mean-----?
Shane: We forgot the ketchup, Lazs
Lazs: You're right.
Shane: And many studies show that ketchup contains natural relaxing agents that promote friendship.
Lazs: Maybe we should start another thread next weekend.
Shane: Okay.
Lazs: And this time we'll include ketchup.
Shane: I brought you some, Lazs.
Lazs: Ketchup on a piece of white bread. My favorite.
Shane: I love you, Lazs.
Lazs: So do I, Shane.
(SINGS):
These are the good years, in the golden sun,
A new day is dawning, a new life has begun,
The river flowing like ketchup on a bun.
