Title: New planes for AH2 ToD

I was just wondering if/when new aircraft and vehicles will be added to Aces High II.  If anybody could hook me up i'd be very happy.  



I have more to come about recommendations i have (some may even be worth looking at)

"WG: I think I heard you mention during the demo, and correct me if I'm wrong, that there aren't going to be any new aircraft or ground vehicles added with version 2.0 initially.

DA: That's correct. Version 2.0 will not encompass any new vehicles. We have over seventy different aircraft and vehicles at the moment, and each one of those needs to be upgraded. You'll see an upgrade on everything from textures some massaging of the models, to new cockpits. We'll be implementing the ability for users to modify all the textures, the skins. An automatic download of new textures, similar to how the squadron nose art works. With all the new artwork, we really didn't want to tackle new vehicle models at the same time."

Reading this my whole day gets better! Wouldn't it be great to finally have good interiors in like the Fortress?! and the ability to pick yer own skinns?! It's great!

Ok, dumb question, will we be the only ones who will be able to see the custom skins on our aircraft in AH2 (which was the case in AW) or will the custom skins be visible to all other aircraft?

Seagoon,

It is supposed to work like this:


Someone creates a historical skin.

The skin is submitted to HTC for approval.

If HTC approves, it is included with the maps.

A player may then choose this skin while in the hangar.

Everyone sees the skin.


Note:  Noone will be able to have skins that only they can see, ie. pink spitfires.

Its about time we get some accurate cockpits!!  Dont getme wrong, love the game...But cokpits were gherman text or cyrilic charecters would be a hoot.  Oh ya, the pink Spitty...You forgot the fusia spinner...:rolleyes:
