you not fly on MA?
gv's freak :)
-
I've seen a documentary about the wirlwind lately, it had all kinds of mallfunctions, when it needed to fire it first had to untighten ropes etc. Frankly Hitler didn't like it either
-
well put 1 of those next to a fuel bunker and all strat pork might disappear:eek:
-
Yes, we are GV enthusiasts
But someones got to do it, ya know how many times we hear "We need an M3 to such & such a base" Ya thats us:D
Come fly over our field when LTAR is there!
-
Just another gv to drop eggs on:D
-
Yup, thats what most of um do...drop "eggs" on us
A couple of us usually get nailed. This is the thing that makes it fun for us {LTAR} You line ur plane up, ready your eggs, line up on one or two of us, then drop, meanwhile the 8 or 10 of us you missed, are still slingin' a hell of a lot of lead at ya:eek:
Your gonna catch a round!

AW here we come.........
The Wirbelwind never left Germany during WWII............
IMO the single out standing GV missing from AH is the Studebaker truck towing or mounting
Katyusha
(http://users.pandora.be/bert.dujardin/Pictures/Vehicles/Katyusha_in_action.jpg)
or towing a deployable
88mm manned artillery that can be used with AA, HE or AP (anti-aircraft, anti- tank, anti-object)
or
37 manned heavy cannon that can be used with HE or AP.
Katyusha.... 16 225mm rockets per salvo (32 if a trailer is included) very long range...very innaccurate ............long period to deploy and reload........ able to pepper an enemy position but unable to target a specific object.
88mm artilery piece (in game now but not activated as a manned ggun) medium range.......... accurate....... 5 - 10 sec reload time, slow to deploy.......... able to target individual objects and ground vehicles/tanks can be used as AA with time fused shells.
37 mm as we have now quicker to deploy from a trailer than the above.

I thought there were two models. The Mk II had the armored turret like in that picture, quite similar to the Ostwind. The Mk I was a completely open turret, and was used extensively along the Atlantic wall.
