I just love the double standard that exist for politicians. Make up any BS story then spew it forth on the news. Have not a shred of facts to prove your tale, then when it is not proven just say the canned democratic apology, "Ahh made a mistake, but I believe I was right!"
shreck Kennedy, talking about corruption in others with no proof. THat man is one of the most corrupt in congress, yet lectures about others being so, and without a shred of proof.

Old men in their 70's, who have had the same cushy job for the past 40 years, will sometimes say stupid stuff.

amazing a fat drunk murder can hold public office year after year

Some Democrats, citing the $525 billion budget deficit, say they may push for a repeal of some tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans to help pay for the Iraq mission.
I love this statement. As usual the Demo's answer to everything is "Take from the rich and give to the worthless".
-
thats the truth mighty...
demos are nothing but POS...
too say anything else is just plain rediculous.
:rofl
-
Sued for what?
-
Problem is those clowns figure everyone with income in the top 25% is "rich".
So, if you're making over ~$55,000 you're "rich".
Bend over, grab your ankles... we're going to tax the rich again!

lol, Toad

For defamation of character... it is considered a serious charge in most courts and can lead to massive reproach should it be proved. My bets are that statement of Kennedy does do damgage, and I predict those statements by him will sign his death of politics.

For defamation of character
while I think his comments where sleazy (since they where presented without evidence, if he shows some proof thats another story), I saw the speach the quotes where taken from. it was quite clear in the speach (not so much, where he was quoted in the article) that these where his opinions.
all alegations where preceded with "it is my belief", or a simular statement. no grounds for a law suit IMO, I believe you are still allowed to believe anything you want, or even express these beliefs as long as you make it clear it's your opinion. in order to prove he was lying, you'd have to prove that he didn't believe it, not that the beliefs where wrong.

I think you are allowed to "believe it" but not allowed to say it in public
the handsomehunkcrats like to make their "tax the rich" speeches right after they finish their $2500 a plate political dinner they were delivered to in their chauffeur driven limo

LOL, you care to show your "proof" on your statement?
Where does he say he made a mistake in his allegations?
Looks to me he is asking for some facts such as some missing money that isn't adding up.
What about the "proof" of Sadaam's immediate threat to the US offered by the Bush's administration as "justification" for invasion?
The "possible involvement of Iraq and 9/11?
Seems you're charging Kennedy of what the Bush administration is now doing (look to the news reports of the "We knew of there not being a connection of Iraq and 9/11.")
What will be your opinion of this administration IF the WMD threat was fabricated?
-
there was nothing in iraq that was dangerous to the US. not sure what lie you guys are talking about here.

ya, it's just the dems who do that
actually you may be right, when bush came out here to raise money for the republican candidates he flew out here on our dime. not a limo though, AF 1, plus the helo (marrine 1 i think) when he flew to central oregon. what a mess that was, hundreds of people out of their homes during the fires, and there was Bush taking up a very large part of the lodges acomodations.
I'd be curiose to know how much that little trip cost the taxpayers. I wonder if it cost us more than he raised? next time it may even be cheaper to just give those candidates the federal money.

Had he not been some "powerful" politician, one can bet he'd of been charged with at least involuntary homicide. Doesn't make him a murderer though.
Curious, do you criticize only Democrats?
What if our present President was a Democrat, would you be calling him a coke fiend, liar, and deserter?

"But,Teddy what if I get Pregnant?"
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

hahah good one pooh

How any state can look at itself in the mirror after repeatedly electing someone like this is beyond me.
