I was playing in the CT this morning, and was driving an LVT onto A18 in a vain attempt to capture it. I was quite close to the Map Room, within 50 meters or so, when I started getting hit by auto ack, so I stopped quicky and started dropping troops.

I had all 10 drunks out, and was watching them out of the driver's viewport when AWT (I think that is his handle) dove in on me with a N1K and dropped a 250kg bomb or two that landed between the Map Room and my LVT, killing me instantly.

I re-upped a LVT to finish the capture, and was driving in when I got the Map Room Destroyed message, and the base was captured.

Now, we had been trying to capture this base for over two hours. I was the ONLY one running troops, so I didn't just finish the capture. I asked in Country and it was confirmed that everyone else was in fighters.

Now, is this just a CT problem?

bombs do not kill troops  but Shhhhhhhh dont let anyone know so they keep trying. hehehe

How did u die and get a 'map room destroyed message?

If I drop troops and get killed, but the troops dont, I just see a
'field xx captured by rooks' message.

You got me..... I almost instantly upped another LVT from the CV and started in again.

I barely had the engine revved when I got the maproom destroyed message.

If you up between dieing and the capture you'll get the message (and I think also the pp). This even works when dieing in troop carrier and then swithcing to fighter...

Hopefully when AH2 arrives the terminator troop bug will be addressed. I found out about it when I chose to drop on troops then strafe, by the time I came back around it was too late. :mad:

well think. If u let out troops and then exit out of ur lvt and grab an attack plane it counts as a capture under ur attack rank. So even tho u died it must be a small bug that you STILL got the map room destroyed message :D

Same with destroying ships. Might be limited to torps though, not sure.
