We actually run the maps with the final goal of taking enemy bases. But how about running them also in a point oriented way?
Actually, you open the roster window and you see how many bases left has every team. How about having points instead of bases? First team to reach 30 points wins the map.
How to gain points? The host gives general targets to every country and a time limit to acomplish them, and the host ensures that every team has 3 active targets all the time. For example: Take two enemy bases in the following 20 mins, destroy an enemy factory in the following hour and kill 100 enemy fighters in the less than 30 mins. Every achieved target gives one point to your team, and when a target is achieved or timeline expires, the host generates a new one.
Every map could be ran in the traditional way or in a point oriented way.

Good idea.
You could make scenarios with a system like that.
You could have a Battle of Britain type of scenario.
Germany would get points for bombing the targets and shooting down British fighters.
Great Britain would score points by shooting down aircrafts.
That would make CT much more interesting.
It would help create a feeling of a war going on.
If one country outnumbers the other then you can use something similar to what is done for perks.
Just throwing ideas here, feel free to disagree.

AVRO1, all of these for CT and a very important point for MA, even an outnumbered and ganbanged team will have a chance to win the reset.

Sounds great to me, hope they will seriously look into how it could be done.

Sounds good to me. Points could be based on the current Perk Point system, with some modifications, even using the Perk Point Modifier. Points the players earn could be applied to the country. I would adjust the Bomber point system though.

Point system is already used in Scenarios, Sqaud Ops and Snapshots and this idea is almost what Hitech described in his interview with wargamer. He said that for a successful mission a certain number of points will be given to a side, and any deviation from a 100% complete mission will get a fraction of the total points possible depending on the number of objectives reached etc.
And the point system does work well, because it gives a good sense how far ahead or behind in the war a team is.
