Title: Map making 101

where is the best place to start I have never been in the terrian editor but would like to start a project.Some of you pros can point me in the right direction as to what I will need sites to visit and soforth.Iam at work now or else I would read the readme on the TE but that might not cover all i need such as copying a real map to the TE loc of feilds,elevations of land, and custom tiles/obj to be made. It looks to be a daunting task so any help would be appreicated..

A good place to start is to read the help file, and i mean read it, not skim over it.

Other stuff that aren't in the help file you can usually find by searching the forum.
