Title: Wac-a-mole
Post by: TT on December 05, 1999, 04:10:00 AM
Nailing planes on the runway after the ack is down seems wrong on a gameplay and a realism level. Scores mean very little when some of the top players specialize in wac-a-mole. and as far a realism is concerned. Who would take off in that situation, if they were really going to die.

Maby we could have some very short range ack, like say 200yrds.( grunts with 50cal.?) firing down the runway. They could not be bombed out. If a plane left the runway to go after drunks, or just because he didnt know how to take off. He would be fair game. But flying into the corridor over the runway, or bare strip if it has been bombed, would be very dangerous.

I dont know if they had them in WW2. But we had quad 50,s in viet nam. That should do the trick at close range.

TT, this may well change when the vehicles are put in place, e.g., flakpanzers a la AW.
