I used the BBC coverage because I thought it most complete.
I am curious if any of you Dad's out there have the same reaction. I remember when I used to see something like this or hear of abuse or injury to a child on the news prior to having children. Before I would just think, how terrible, and go on with my life.
I now have a 5 year old daughter that I adore. Nowadays these types of things make my blood boil. I'd like to have people cained and worse for such things.
I was just curious if any of you other Dads had a similar transition in reaction to such news after having children.

You hit a nerve here, rogwar. A lot of times I'm sorry I've read these stories because of the way they make me feel.
The recent one about the Russian family who kept their little girl in a dog cage inside a shed away from the main house. The little girl was 6 yrs old. She couldn't talk and was unable to stand up straight. :mad:

That would pretty much describe how my wife finds me after she gets home from her 3-hour night classes. :p

Well at the very least they should tie her tubes so she cant have any more babies to abuse.

as a parent, this story is sickening. THat woman is going to jail for this, she would do several years for it in my state. I cant believe what that poor kid went through, and am amazed at her ability to survive.
I dont believe in the death penalty but this woman I would gladly send to the gas chamber, although that would really be too good for her
she definately will never get custody again, she will be lucky to get supervised visitation

How anyone could do that to a child just astounds me. Drawing and quartering sounds too lenient for that POS "mother".

It's realy thanks to her dad for finding her, he insisted to search the apartment, and they did..
I live in Jax,FL, and just because this made world headlines, dosn't mean were that bad of a state.
Just think of the Officer who walked in on this....

She's a terrible mother; no doubt.
But, don't the cops usually check into this kind of thing after making an arrest?

I would pull the trigger lynch the sods etc etc no worries
Case on TV in UK earlier
Guy raped a 14mth old and got a very easy 5yr sentence
Now after an appeal by neighours etc the sentence is hopefully going to be lenghtened
I got a better sentence, Let him into the prison populase and see him last for ohh say 10seconds in absolute agony
How people can think sentencing pos's for such a small or even longtime can make em betters beyond me
Can't see him living long on release from relatives retoric (and who could blame em)
Sicko's seem nowadays to just know how to milk the kindness of judges when it comes to sentencing
Death is what's needed on the sick (sounds like) ducks

that is prety shocking, and doesnt sound like UKs criminal justice system, which is pretty harsh.
A guy here in VA molested 3 kids, youngest was 2 1/2. He got 50 years to serve. No parole. He will do 43 years before he has a chance to get out. I think our crim justice sysem needs some reforms but IMHO this guy got just what he deserved

Ya listening to BS if ya think UK hard on crime
This isn't even a first of such a sick pos doing stuff
Guy got 2 yrs few wks ago for shild abbuse as the judge (some avacadot in his 80's) thought with around 9mth served he would be shamed enough
Shamed enough, shreck and critter did that to my gal/guy i would do time for em no hesitation and it would be for torture then death n that's the truth
shreckin worlds going to hell and divs in charge are leading us their faster
Wait til some lib gets his family members axed or his babies get raped, Then some arses with their heads up their my realise they need punishing not lighter sentences with home visits n cable/sat tv n ordering dvd's to add to a inmates lockup, Ohh i say lockup as in nice gardens sometimes and a very relaxed lockup time
Sheesh makes me puke about uk justice, It had a rep for being the best justice in the world balls is it
The crooks here are better off than anywhere
No death ya see not even the damn birch to be used on youngsters
(last public birching they did a like 30yr later docu on him) he said his bellybutton was cut to shreds n scared and he had never ever thought of breaking the law again think he was 16 @ birching
