Given the existence of the rear door, it's a Russian BA-3 armored car, originally produced in 1934, mounting the turret from the T-26 light tank with a 45mm gun, built on the chassis of the Ford Timken trucks produced in Russia at the Izhorskij factory.

At the time of its introduction, the BA-3 was the most heavily-armed armored car in the world, other nations' armored cars acquiring comparable armament only several years into WWII. However, battle experience revealed the practical impossibility of their deployment on the front lines due to poor off-road capability.

Have you played Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin? Those things are cannon fodder in there. Haven't really found a way of using them effectively yet.

yes it's a captured Vehicle but i suppose it's a  russian BA-6 instead BA-3:

becouse BA-3 Haven't Backdoor.....
is a handle of a door that one that I see close to the german cross on the back ?



also that i could be a BA-27 without the turret's protecting railing :rolleyes:  but i'm not sure of that

Book I have has that same pic and it claims it would be BA-10 Model 1937.

Then again it's having a rear door (Like BA-3 had, there's no door in BA-6 (http://www.thetankmaster.com/images/AFV/BA-6/BA6_07.jpg)) and vision slits in door and rear plate (like BA-3 had) and a cylindrical turret (like BA-3 had) vs more cone shaped turret of BA-10 (http://www.autogallery.org.ru/k/g/ba10Ostfront_Baydeww2.jpg).

I'd say it's a BA-3.
