Not sure if already discussed...
Will AH2 have more control over fuel quantites?
Something like a slider that can go anywhere from 0 to 100%? Maybe really fancy and a variable slider for each fuel tank.

i really like that idea

Fuel and Ammo would be much better that way.

YES. I agree 100%
P40 is very annoying in this respect. The Fuselage tank takes a while to burn and hinders its performance. I'd love to head out with 100% main and 100% aux... all would be well.
Same thing for the Fockwulfes. 190a5, I rarely use the forward MG. I'd like an option to select a certain amount of bullets on a slider setup to easily get rid of the MG. The current setup, I fire them all off on climbout.

oh, why you like to go so far from real life?
corect me if im wrong, but did airplanes not allways fly with full tanks? ;-)

I think it's a question of pilot preference. Were they not able to adjust convergence to their liking? Why not fuel and ammo settings? German FW pilots sometimes preferred not to fly with cowl MG. I'd like to see some of my preferences a bit more flexible in game.
If anything, finer fuel settings (other than 25, 50, 75, 100) such as 55%, 60%, 80%, etc... would be nice.

HT answered separate tank filling a while back: "It's not as simple as you invision", maybe for this next revision?
Would be cool to be able to fine tune in addition of getting the ground crew's improved mechanical parts for one's plane. Choice of quantity of fuel for each tank or ammo or tracers for each gun, add or remove certain parts altogether, etc
and the after-flight statistics .txt would be nice.

Actually no. Aircraft can only carry so much wieght, and in many cases they flew over loaded. Fuel was based on time flight time + actual loadout. Same thing goes for todays airliners. The take enough fuel for flight time needed plus 30 minutes.

actually thats plus 45 minutes at normal cruising speed. Since all (most) Airliners fly above flt lvl 180 and when you above flt lvl 180 you are considered IFR and when you IFR you must have 45 minutes of reserve fuel on board.

Just an idea...
I would like more options to mark fuel settings other than actual 25, 50,75 and 100% too.
But I have a distinct point of view about fuel quantities.
In the real life we don't measure fuel with percentage; only in liters or gallons. ;)
Let's presume a partially damaged field with only 50% of fuel... With actual fuel model, I can take-off a P-51 and do my attack or defence flight mission for long time because P-51 have huge fuel tanks. The BF-109 would be my last choice because high fuel consume... but 109's have small fuel tanks too !!!
50% of fuel in P-51's tanks represent more gallons than 100% fuel in 109's tanks, I think !!!
The actual fuel concept isn't fair or reasonable in my mind !!!
The great AH differentiation over others online "sims" is the better game concept. For the guys with this responsability on hands... think about!

Good idea Midnight... support it 100%
