it's not japan Kaiten:
Kaiten was similar but not build with 2 torpedoes...
also that the Kaiten was a suicidal torpedo with no  cockpit....
the pilot stay  in the belly and saw using a periscope.

it's not italian
italian human torpedoes, called Maiale (the pig), is a torpedoes with a chair over.... i mean the subs use it like a under -sea motorbike approaching the ships in silent with the purpose to mine them.

the italian human torpedoes's succesfull have ispired the german navy , kriegsmarine, who try his way  so

this is the  german human torpedo called the " NEGER" ,

it was build in number of 200 unit,  using two G7 torpedoes, one of them modified to have a cockpit for the driver
who approach the target and relase the torpedo to hit him, but sometimes the relase mechanism doasn't work ...
so the armed torpedoes sometimes dragged the pilot in its crowds run ....
also that the oxigen mask( was a luftwaffe equipment) work bad too causing the dead of the driver.....

140 negers were lost in action for those cause....

The name comes from the inventor, Richard Mohr (in German 'Mohr' is an oldfashioned 'polite' term for negro). The first of these 2,75 ton vessels entered service in March 1944 and about 200 of them were built in 1944. They could travel for 48 miles at 4 knots awash and carried one torpedo

only that
